Project Description

San Rafael is the headquarters for entertainment and technology in Marin. After George Lucas founded Lucasfilm in 1971, San Rafael became the center for high-tech elements of the entertainment business. It’s natural beauty coupled with man made designs have made it an attractive filming location, with beloved movies such as American Graffiti, THX 1138, and Gattaca set here.

Sorry we are experiencing system issues. Please try again.

Downtown San Rafael overflows with restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Spanish mission buildings can be seen throughout San Rafael one dating as far back as 1817. San Rafael is also home to the Marin County Civic Center, the only public building ever designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
